A lot of Robots (and some G.I.s) in a humble bundle

Humble Bundle, one of my favorite companies is teaming up with the comic publisher IDW (again) to bring some serious DRM Free Comics to your reading device of choice. So the featured video might give you an impression of the artwork and stories which are featured in this bundle. If you´re not familiar with Humble Bundle here´s how it works:

You can pay what you want for the bundle with a minimum purchase of $1 which get you the first tier of comicbooks. If you want to unlock more you have to increase your contribution. However, you can get all of the comics for $25 which is only a fraction of what they would cost if you purchase them individually. Furthermore you can choose where the money goes between IDW Publishing and the Hasbro Children’s Fund and Humble Bundle thus supporting charity on top. The comics are available in multiple formats including CBZ, PDF, and ePub, so they work on your computer, e-readers, iPads, cell phones, and a wide array of mobile devices.

So here we are. My two favorite topics combined in a single bundle: Robots and Comics. Granted there are some soldiers in this bundle also but I am not so much into the military stories of the G.I. Joes although there is one exceptionally well written and drawn story about an undercover JOE infiltrating C.O.B.R.A.  “G.I. Joe: Cobra – The Last Laugh” – Highly recommended and worth alone the bundles price. However the most interesting part for me are the Transformer stories. One of my all time favorites “All Hail Megatron” in which the Decepticons are taking over Earth and actually have beaten the autobots is included in one of the IDW Collections books. These books are featuring the stories in a more or less chronological time line which is great for starting into the Transformers or G.I. Joe comic Universe. However the downside is that you will get some of the issues several times in this bundle (for example the already mentioned “The last laugh” – but it´s really that good to read it two times). I am always more than happy with the humble comic bundles and are well over 1400 humble issues by now.

Oh, one last thing the bundle is only running a limited time. So be quick and head on over here:
